With the overturn of Roe v Wade, a clearer understanding of student attitudes towards abortion is needed. From 141 surveys of MSW students attending a faith based university, findings suggest diverse student attitudes, a desire for increased skill development to work effectively with clients, and suggestions for curriculum development.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will gain increased understanding of MSW students attending a faith based university attitudes towards abortion.
2.. Participants will be able to articulate the impact of spirituality and political affiliation on attitudes towards abortion of highly diverse MSW students attending a faith based university.
3. Participants will examine implications for curriculum in both secular and faith based programs in preparing students to work with people deciding whether or not to terminate a pregnancy.
