The Classroom Countertransference Gathering is a space where Practicum faculty come together in community to share classroom experiences. This presentation will focus on the development, implementation and learnings from this model of peer support.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants who attend this training will: understand the development, implementation and outcomes of a peer support model utilized by Practicum faculty at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck’s School of Social Work.
  2. Participants who attend this training will: recognize the value of creating necessary spaces for social work educators to examine their own experiences in the classroom.
  3. Participants who attend this training will: have the tools to design a peer support model within their university organizations.
