This presentation examines the growing phenomenon of eco-anxiety and reviews the dearth in literature around emerging recommendations for clinical treatment. We then apply specific tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) interventions to conceptualize a novel and practical clinical approach to address eco-anxiety among diverse populations.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, the participant will be able to define key diagnostic features of eco-anxiety
Upon completion, the participant will be able to explain how each of the six elements of the ACT hexaflex align with eco-anxiety interventions
Upon completion, the participant will be able to apply ACT interventions for the clinical treatment of eco-anxiety
