Creating Safe Spaces on Campus for LGBTQ2SIA+ Students

LGBTQIA2S+ college students face unique challenges and risks that threaten their physical and emotional safety on campus. This poster session presents findings of a systematic literature review on the institutional, individual, and social supports that contribute to positive collegiate adjustment and improve the mental health and well-being of LGBTQIA2S+ students.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Upon completion, participants will be able to list effective mental health supports for LGBTQIA2S+ college students.
  2. Upon completion, participants will be able to describe factors that contribute to emotional and physical safety for LGBTQIA2S+ college students.
  3. Upon completion, participants will be able to implement effective programs that enhance safety for LGBTQIA2S+ students.
