This study explores the lived experiences of BIPOC social work leaders within HSOs. Findings from this study highlight the complex interplay of intersecting identities, organizational power and approaches to leadership. Other findings center around the navigation of ADEI mandates, organizational challenges to implementation and suggestions for organizational change are presented.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, the participant will be able to describe the organizational challenges encountered by BIPOC women who are social work leaders within non profit organizations.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to define intrsectional feminism and its application to leadership within non profit organizations.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to demonstrate an understanding of deficits of ADEI initiatives within non profit organizations, and describe ways to mitagate these challenges.
