Disclosure of Autistic identity in university is an issue of Autistic belonging, wellbeing, and culture. The purpose of this study was to find out more about the experiences of disclosure for Autistic university students. Implications for social work educators are highlighted to enhance Autistic inclusion in social work education.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, the participant will be able to articulate what disclosure is for Autistic and neurodivergent university students.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to reflect on multifactorial influences on Autistic and neurodivergent students decisions regarding disclosure.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to identify strategies that are useful for fostering supportive and inclusive educational and practical environments for Autistic and neurodivergent students.
