Stories of Pashtun Men Participating in Violence Against Women Prevention Initiatives in Pakistan

This proposal examines the role of Pakistani men in combating violence against women and advancing gender justice. By exploring cultural, religious, and educational strategies, it aims to identify effective methods for engaging men as allies, highlighting transformative impacts and advocating for integrated approaches to foster societal change.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the Role of Men in Gender Justice: To examine and articulate the various roles that men have in the promotion of women's rights and empowerment, highlighting their contributions and challenges within the context of gender justice initiatives in Pakistan.
  2. Examine Societal Changes and Perceptions in Pakistan: To explore and analyze how societal attitudes and perceptions regarding men's roles in gender justice and the prevention of violence against women have evolved in Pakistan, understanding the impact of these shifts on gender equality initiatives.
  3. Identify Key Changes in Women's Empowerment and Gender Justice: To pinpoint and assess the critical developments that have advanced women's empowerment and gender justice, with a specific focus on the role men have played in facilitating these changes, both in societal attitudes and institutional practices.
