Cognitive impairment among Indigenous women in the U.S., especially in the Northern Plains, remains understudied. This study aims to utilize the social determinants of health (SDOH) framework to examine factors associated with cognitive impairment among Indigenous women residing in rural Northern Plains communities.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will gain proficiency in assessing and analyzing the intersection between Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) and social determinants of health specific to Indigenous women.
2. Participants will strengthen comprehension of the intricate connections between cognitive impairment and social determinants of health within Indigenous women populations.
3. Participants will acquire skills to effectively evaluate the impact of social determinants on the manifestation and progression of ADRD among Indigenous women.
