Grief can be a reaction to profound cognitive changes. Ambiguous loss is when someone is physically present but parts of them may be no longer psychologically present in the way they once were. Understanding grief from ambiguous loss can be challenging, but moving forward in a supportive environment is possible.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this program participants will be able to better understand how grief from ambiguous loss occurs.
During this program participants will learn new strategies for helping clients process grief due to ambiguous loss.
Throughout this program, research will be reviewed to help participants further their understanding about why the grief process can be so complicated in treatment.
