Understanding Climate Change Crisis: Comparing Perspectives of US-Born and International Youth and Young Adults

This paper presents findings on similarities and differences in perceptions and attitudes of US-born and international youth and young adults towards the climate change crisis including its impact, mitigation and prevention strategies, and the common but differentiated responsibilities based on respective capabilities, access to resources, and geography.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Develop an understanding of similarities and differences in the perceptions and attitudes of US-born and international youth and young adults towards climate change crisis prevention and mitigation
  2. Gain insight into the common but differentiated responsibility of Global North and Global South towards the climate change crisis
  3. Describe the varied and disproportionate impact of climate change crisis on the BIPOC youth and young adults, particularly in the Global South
