This presentation will explore the results of a qualitative study that aims to understand the experiences of students who identify as women who hold multiple roles (i.e. student, care-taker, employee) and who have been enrolled in a fully online MSW program.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will gain an understanding of how online students who identify as women and who hold multiple roles and responsibilities navigate their online student role.
2. Participants will consider how online programs can support women students with multiple roles and responsibilities, with particular attention to engagement, flexibility and building a sense of community.
3. Participants will gain an understanding of how gender roles play a role in women students identity as student, caretaker and employee, and how the student role may be impacted by these other roles.
