Child welfare workers and services providers play a critical role in the process of youth transitioning out of foster care. This qualitative study reports on the perspectives of 19 child welfare workers who were asked about their experiences on working with transition-age youth involved in the child welfare system.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, the participant will be able to demonstrate the importance of relational permanence for transition-age youth with child welfare history.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to describe social strains experienced by transition-age youth with child welfare history and identify its impact on their well-being.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to identify the constrains drived from policy on unmet needs serivce among transition-age youth with child welfare history.
