The e-poster will discuss the results of a scoping review that examined the use of gendered racism in social work literature. In doing so, we will illuminate the under-representation of Indigenous women in gendered racism-based social work literature as a form of epistemic oppression.
Learning Objectives:
Describe the extent to which and how gendered racism has been discussed in social work literature
Report certain social groups that have been underrepresented in gendered racism-based social work literature, including transgender women, older women, and Indigenous women
Articulate how social work scholars may be contributing to the epistemic oppression of Indigenous women
