Ke A'o Mau: Connecting Students to Culturally Rooted Solutions Through Engagement

The Ke Aʻo Mau program increases the reach and impact of culturally-anchored practice as it relates to social justice and health. The program aims to be one component of the development of a social work workforce that is interdisciplinary, community-based and culturally anchored in Native Hawaiian knowledge, skills, and values.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Upon completion, the participant will develop an appreciation and recognition of cultural strengths and culturally- anchored practices.
  2. Upon completion, the participant will develop an appreciation for the value of worldviews and their intersection with social work education.
  3. Upon completion, the participant will consider the value of collaboration across disciplines and engagement with communities in a culturally responsive manner.
