Incorporating African perspectives in research and societal transformation is crucial. Magezi (2018) highlights marriage's role in fostering community bonds, preserving cultural heritage, and contributing to economic stability. Therefore, this paper explores how Afrocentric theory can help address issues related to marriage, such as divorce and separation, in the African context.
